Book Review - February 2016

This month's Book Review is Dying to Be Me by the amazing Anita Moorjani. Anita was riddled with cancer and her body was shutting down when she had a near-death experience (NDE) and went through true healing, becoming completely cancer free and living her true life purpose, without the constant fear and worry mindset that plagued her, her whole life.

"I had the choice to come back... or not. I chose to return when I realised that "heaven' is a state, not a place..." Anita during her NDE. Her life purpose is definitely to teach us all about her understanding of the physical and non-physical world from what she experienced and everything she has learnt along the way.

One question Anita is constantly asked is 'why do you think you got cancer' and she states "I can sum up the answer in one word: fear. What was I afraid of? Just about everything, including failing, being disliked, letting people down, and not being good enough.". Many of us live with these ideas about the world around us and it is key that we re-train our thought processes and 'throw out' fear and worry from our everyday lives, it is a key component to staying happy and healthy!

The book is an excellent, inspiring account that has altered my life and the lives of so many! It is a practical and realistic look at life, how our thoughts and emotions create di-sease and the negativity that occurs during our human experience. I truly believe that our thoughts create our world, that we are divine beings who deserve to live in happiness, without fear or worry. Anita says "Do not try or force yourself to be positive 24/7, if you have negative thoughts, embrace them and move on. Suppressing them & pretending to be happy all the time can be just as harmful" which it is important to remember too, it is about how we deal with life's ups and downs, not by pretending they don't exist but embracing them then changing our habits. Life is not perfect and succeeding to live a happy spiritual life, in the present moment, allows us to better manage events and thought processes when things do not necessarily go as we had planned. Do remember everything happens for a reason though, everything appears in our lives to teach us something for our personal growth.

There are so many paragraphs I would like to relay here , I cannot recommend this book enough!

Anita on aggressive souls "I believe that at the core, no one is truly bad - that evil is only a product of our fears, the same way my cancer was.", also, "I believe that those who hurt others only do so out of their own pain and their feelings of limitation and separation" , which I totally agree with! Violent people have so much internal turmoil and self dislike that it completely clouds their judgement to think clearly. One has to truly love oneself in order to fully love another and understand that the pain we cause another is actually hurting us far more.

It is exciting to know that on leaving our physical bodies; race, culture, religion and beliefs do not exist, everyone is full of love and acceptance. During her NDE, Anita felt magnificent and says "Why, oh why, have I always been so harsh with myself? Why was I always beating myself up? Why was I always forsaking myself? Why did I never stand up for myself and show the world the beauty of my own soul?" - an important lesson for us all! We are all capable of manifesting miracles, living the life we imagine and enjoying the journey every day! Go buy this awesome book and do let us know what you think, either comment here or on our social media pages.

Anita Moorjani will be in London for a one-day workshop on 28th February 2016, talking about her experiences and sharing all that she has learnt. Dying to Be Me is published by HayHouse, visit their site here and also event details: http://bit.ly/1MhyG90
