Health Tips for Flourishing in January

Happy New Year, I do hope 2018 has started well for you and that you have been able to begin taking the action towards your goals and dreams. As with last weeks blog, it is vital to be gentle on yourself, work on the more reachable goals whilst laying the foundations for big targets. January is known as the most depressing month, with Blue Monday on 15th being the worst day. Crystals (which you can charge yourself by placing on your third eye & setting the intention required, after cleansing them), Energy Healing Modalities, Healthy Eating and vitamin supplements massively help with coping after the pressures of Christmas, potential weight gain and days still being so dark. Vitamin D supplements & getting outside when you are able to, and when the sun is shining definitely helps too. 

It is a time of new beginnings and new adventures it is a perfect opportunity to 'wipe the slate clean', throw out anything in the past that did not work, forgive yourself and others, and do all you can to balance emotions and feelings that come up. We can make 2018 a positive, disease-free experience by applying daily routines of Self-Reiki; Reiki Treatments; Yoga Classes; Mediation; Exercise & taking time in nature to keep us motivated. It can be good to discuss any imbalances you may be feeling with others, to remove the stress quicker and easier.


Each Moon Cycle affects us all in different ways, for some it is the full moon, others the New Moon when our emotions can feel more out of balance. It is advisable to record the dates on your calendar / diary so that extra self-care work can take place in the days leading up to the change. For me it is the full moon, for others I know it is the new moon, taking notes for a month in a journal can aid with recognising when you are feeling particularly 'out of sorts'. 


Crystals for Emotional Balance - Moonstone, Rose Quartz (aligning emotions & female cycles), Red Garnet (menstrual/hormones)

Colds, Flu, Ear Infections & Sinus Issues - Fluorite, Sodalite, Aventurine, Clear Quartz (the Master Healer), Lapis Lazuli, Blue Lace Agate, Carnelian or Moonstone. Specifically for Ear Problems - Amethyst, Agate & Black or Pink Tourmaline

Smudging - Use White Sage or Palo Santo to clear germs & energy blockages from your home and office or hire me to do a FULL House or Office Energy Cleanse. Read previous blogs of the topic HERE.

Healthy Teeth after potentially excess sugar consumption over the festive period (hopefully not thought!!) - Carnelian & Apatite - for absorption of calcium & tooth growth; Amber, Rose Quartz & Amethyst - For Children when teething

Fluorite - it can be a good idea to have on you or hold it during treatment (either on your person or in your pocket) to draw out infection & aid with healing post dental work; Malachite - Excellent for pain relief and growth; Selenite - neutralises effects from the mercury amalgam fillings. Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother)- Advisable to take daily with water, first thing in the morning but try the best way for you. It is phenomenal for so many things, asthma, clearing & preventing colds & flu, weight loss, stomach soothing, when cooking, in smoothies and even around the house, on pimples and as a toner. 


Other Healthy Body / Weight reduction tips:

Drink at least one glass of Water on waking up, before doing anything else. Squeezed Lemon in hot water, prior to going to bed, reduces bloating and aids a flat stomach. Coffee is a diuretic when taken Black, without milk or sugar, aiding with a flat stomach. You can also add a tiny bit of extra virgin coconut oil, this removes the bitterness and helps your skin, hair and overall health. Green Tea is also beneficial after meals & throughout the day. Removing meat and having a very limited sugar intake for your diet will produce amazing results, life changing for the animals and your health. You will find digestion improves, bloating is far less and concentration and motivation increase. It is advisable to find what works best for you though, we are all made up differently and what works for one, does not necessarily work for another, that is often why trendy fad diet programs fail.
