Remove Stress with Exercise

"Stress is not what happens to us. It is our response to what happens and response is something we can choose"

It is so common to be constantly 'busy', rushing around, not even taking a breath. People 'stress' about this and that they don’t get to enjoy the here and now! Exercise is one of the best activities available to internally increase our endorphins, improve our anxiety levels and our overall physical and mental health!

Exercise does not have to mean joining a gym; walking and yoga are both free examples we can do and are so beneficial to our hearts and minds. Now that we live in this digital age, we have many Apps, we can use to track our steps, to follow exercise plans and all from the comfort of our own home, the local park or anywhere!

Although our minds may be filled with ‘stuff’, aside from meditation, it really is easier to switch off with a distraction! I heard a great talk the other day where the lady said when you are feeling overwhelmed, to focus on all the objects in the room and count them one by one until everything has been included – it is like counting to 10 but it seems to really work - try it when exercising or when you need to 'take time out'. In this instance even women cannot multitask they have to focus on the job in hand!

Advice:  Completing 10,000 steps a day can help you to significantly improve your energy, health and fitness levels! Walking for 30 minutes, 5 or 6 days a week can lead to significant weight loss without even dieting! Good luck!
